My 2 friends and I stayed at the Holiday Inn recently for 6 nights. We all agreed that this hotel was one of the friendliest hotels that we have stayed in to date. A fine travelers hotel

We just got back from a 5 night stay at the HI Civic center. The hotel was a fine travelers hotel, older but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. They even sent me to a competitor when their business center was out of service.

Yes it is not the best area, but we found homeless and panhandlers all over the city.

Bed Bugs

The Hotel is in the worst part of San Francisco and not safe at night. If you are planning a stay in San Fran, I would recommend staying in a different area. The worst part about the hotel was the fact that there are bed bugs in their beds. We did not notice them until the next morning when we woke and noticed spots on the sheets and pillows. ...

The service at this hotel from the staff was very good. The hotel itself was showing signs of age and wear with very little done in the rooms to keep up the rooms. You can here the street traffic all night long as the sliding glass doors in the rooms are old and not insulated. So badly insulated that we could hear skate boarders on the road at ...

Decent Hotel in a not-so-good part of town

The location of this hotel is not so good, lots of dirty streets, homeless people and an unsafe feeling at night. It was a very long and sometimes creepy 3 block walk to anything decent in the way of food or shopping. Staff werequick but not very friendly. Rooms were decent, nothing to write home about. If this hotel were in a different location, it would be the perfect place to stay if you were not going to spend a lot of time in the room.
