I planned a last-minute business trip to the Palm Springs area late in April and my wife asked if she could accompany me. I booked directly with the hotel and was impressed by the inordinately personal and gracious service I received on the phone from the reservations specialist. Ripped with a resort charge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/08
We got our reservation through priceline and were moderately pleased with the price in spite of the $23 in taxes and fees. We usually stay out of this wind tunnel area, but did not have a choice this time.No fault of the hotel, of course, but the winds are very high here, which does not make for a nice poolside experience. My recommendation is to stay further south, preferably in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert or Indian Wells.

Not What We Expected

Rooms were completely run down. Not worth the money and not worth the inconvenience of being off the Strip. This "resort" is nothing but an over-priced hotel.

Doral Desert Princess Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/04
We have stayed here a few times. Very nice rooms, great grounds with golf course and decent pool area. Drinks and food by the pool. Best of all, you can bring your dogs. We were able to come into the lobby with the dog. Very accomodating and convient to everything. A bit of a drive if you want to go into Palm Desert. Great for families.
