found a great deal on Travelzoo-but I actually booked our two-night stay on the phone. For only $59.00 a night my daughter and I had a very nice room-very clean and well appointed. The toiletries and towels were great too. Breakfast of pastries, bagels & cream cheese, cereals, toaster waffles, microwave pancakes, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, ...

This Hotel Blew Us Away!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/09/07
I took my extremely picky, only likes to stay at 4 or 5 star hotels boyfriend for a weekend away! I was nervous after reading the reviews, but we both fell in love with The Wine Valley Inn! It truly has lots of charm, we felt very comfortable & at-home, and we really enjoyed how close it is to everything!
This inn was wonderful. The room was so darling with a fireplace. The landscaping was so nice, with waterfalls, flowers and many sitting areas all around. The staff was very professional and took care of all our needs. There was breakfast and newspaper each day. The inn is in the middle of the town, so everything is walking distance. There is an ...

Enjoyed it when it use to be the Chimney Sweep Inn
We were not given what we were assured over the phone. We did not receive our e-mail confirmation(they said they were having difficulties) so we did not have written confirmation. Told about 2 bath with a wood burning fireplace, perfect for a family of 5. Given a 1 bath suite with a glass tub. They charged more than we were quoted. We were given a $20. adjustment! They never appeared too sympathetic or apologetic.
What a gem of a hotel! The room was beautiful and very clean. There was a fireplace with a duraflame log and a wonderful double bathtub/shower, easily big enough for two. There are "honor bars" in the room with snacks and drinks which they will add on to your bill. Overall this was a wonderful experience for our first trip to Solvang.

The rooms are very comfortable with fireplace, charming decor and includea very nice complimentary European-style breakfast buffet. The hotel is convenient to shops, tasting rooms and restaurants and the staff is curteous and helpful. Very good off-season value.

Room 310
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/08/06
I would not recommend this hotel. We stayed in room 310 for about $170. The room was hard to find because the hotel is like a maze. When I asked for help the staff said "I was lost too when I started working here"? She pointed in a direction and said its that way. Well a half hour and ten sets of stairs later we found our room. The room ...

cozy, clean, good location

Very sweet place and our room had a fireplace in it. The bathrooms are updated and better than average. The location in downtown Solvang is prime for a visitor to the area which has nearby the beautiful Santa Ynez town and area, Cumash Indian Casino (excellent) and all the kitchiness of the Solvang experience. It's a fun place to walk and ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/05
There is nothing to dislike about the Wine Valley Inn. The location is great...walking distance to downtown Solvang...20 min drive to the wineries. Super clean! Quaint cottages! Great king suites! Great special offers! We felt like royalty! The front desk staff...very friendly and courteous. Housekeeping staff keeps you equipped with all the necessities and always squeaky clean!
