An ok hotel, nice fancy lobby, and the rooms and hallways are also decorated very tastefully. Very comfy beds. The pool and poolside restaurant are kind of tiny. The staff is ok, they are polite and efficient but not out of the ordinary in excellence. It looked like that last extra mile was reserved for the high rollers. Breakfast buffet is kind of ...

Disappointing facts
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/07
Stayed in this hotel on May,2007. Rooms, food and hotel location are good. The most disappointing was the fact that the hotel first tried to charge on check out 120 USD for already pre-paid breakfasts , than 5 days after check out debited my credit card for 280 USD, later on saying that was a mistake. All this reflects an inappropriate attitude to client's money

Overpriced with poor service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/07
These guys should not be in the hotel/hospitality business. It's a cramped hotel with poor service and way too expensive for what you get.
The layout of the rooms is disconcerting, the suite we stayed has a mediocre layout will not recommend. Nonetheless, the bathroom is big and comfortable. The staff is helpful. Overall the hotel is good and has a great location.

The rooms are very clean and well appointed. Easy access to internet, and just a few blocks from the ocean, where there is a great running path.

Indifferent staff, poor location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/06
With the exception of the bell staff and valets, not one member of staff seemed interested in their job or in the customers.
On arrival in my room I found construction equipment and sawdust around the room. My replacement room had a view of a blank wall and a strange smell of fish. The front desk manager was indifferent to both, as she was to ...
A pretty standard Sheraton directly across the street from Santa Monica High School. Within walking distance to the mall and the beach. Close enough to the Santa Monica "hot spots" as to be a good staging point. The terraced west side of the hotel is the place to be, with a nice view of all of Santa Monica and the Pacific Ocean. A pleasant weekend-getaway or business trip hotel.
I wasn't thrilled with my room, it's quite small and there's no bathtub (shower only) but the rest of the hotel was great. One of the best hotel fitness rooms I've been in and a heated pool. The food served in the hotel restaurant and bar is very good. I didn't have a car and didn't need one. Walked to the Santa Monica Pier and the 3rd St Promenade each night with ease. Very safe area.
