Our experience was awful, as we laid in bed we started itching. We took the sheets off and looked at the mattress and found bed bugs. We will never go back!

This hotel is situated right on the beach and we absolutely loved its cleanliness. The only thing that we found negative was there was only 1 restaurant and menu prices were a bit high for a family of 5. It would have been nice to have another more affordable restaurant where we could have had our meals. Other than that, we highly recommend this hotel for its location and cleanliness.

I think one reason this hotel has had a number of negative reviews is that some of us remember it as the family-owned Pelican Beach resort with a Best Western affiliation and a warm, family-owned atmosphere _ and one of the best complimentary continetal breakfasts I've ever experienced.
