The spa staff is friendly, professional but warm, and fastidious in cleaning and they make it seem natural, not like tedious work. Most of all I loved the massage ( relaxation ) that I received. It was the perfect pressure and I took a great nap that afternoon !
Absolutely gorgeous grounds, fabulous service and the food was presented on the level of excellence comparable to larger cities. The rooms were white glove clean and furnished with (reproduction) period furnishings. Lovely place.

Loved the location. Abingdon is a bastain of small town life with a home town feel. Close enough to the Tri Cities area for convenince yet far enough away. The Martha is located down town with in walking distance of fine shops, resturants and the Barter Theater. Great place to just kick back for a few days.
The atmosphere at the Inn was well-seasoned elegance. Afternoon High Tea for anyone who wanders to the parlor late afternoon, rooms furnished with antiques, but with every modern convenience, gorgeous views. It was as pleasant and warm as visiting your grandmother's tastefully appointed home, right down to the beautiful gardens. Don't miss this wonderful experience!
