Home to the Palm restaraunt and the best view of Navy Pier and Lake Michigan, this hotel has it all. The gift shop is rather small, but it's close to the Fairmount and the Hyatt, and you can walk to Magnificent Mile and State Street shopping. Corner rooms are the best (book during holidays with fireworks and watch them from your hotel room!) Spacious lobby area and decent breakfast buffet in underground restaraunt. Friendly staff.

OUR HOTEL IN CICAGO
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/05
The Staff is knowledgable, and actually helpful, they secured dinner for our 7 year old (Frosted Flakes) While we had the best Veal I have ever eaten, also Pool and Hotubs on 42nd floor are fanatastic. This is the only hotel we feel comfortable in with our daughter while still being pampered a bit and have 1st class service
This was the nicest hotel we have been to in Chicago. The people went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The view from the room of the lake was tremendous.
I was very suprise to find out that the hotel have door bells at the door.my family thought that was so cool, and looking forward to a return visit.the service was just excellent, every thing was close to each other and the over view of the city was breath taking.my room was very comfortable and the location was excellent as well,it's one of the best hotel I have every stay at.
The view was incrediable. The room was spacious and smelled like a breathe of fresh air. The service was over the top. They pointed us in the direction of all of Chicago's hot spots. It was the most enjoyable business trip I have ever experienced.
We have continued to stay here every time we visit Chicago! We always get a club level room, (floors 39 and up). You get such a fantastic view of either the city, or the water, either one is breathtaking! The rooms are very nice and comfortable, the beds are to die for! The service was excelent! Every night when we would come back to ...

Great value!

We live in Chicago but sometimes need to escape the "routineness" of our lives - the Swisshotel is a great value - we were able to get away for a night and relax, while not spending a ton of $. I would highly recommend it for its value, location and views!
My fiancee got a room here to help celebrate my birthday last July. Upon check in, we told the front desk clerk this, and she upgraded our reservation to a corner room with a river and a lake view, in spite of the fact that we had booked through Hotwire (this is rare-we were very pleased). The room was huge, with a big cushy bed, and the bathroom ...

Wow! This hotel was everything I was looking for and more. I was traveling alone with my two young sons, so it ws important to me that we feel safe and in a secure environment. The room was so clean, comfortable beds, extra nice linens. Extra comforter in closet. So important! Terrific view from our window, we were there the week of St ...
