this hotel is very basic, but for the price you cannot beat it. The food in their restaurant is also a good value. This is NOT a typical tourist hotel, but rather more for the locals and folks, who enjoy living like the locals.
Very traditional/rustic style...but the BEST pork chops I have ever eaten...well worth the drive. We also tried the fresh fish special and it's wonderfully smothered in butter...not for the diet conscience but delicious.

Lovely evening breezes with views of ocean and mac nut trees

We've stayed there a couple of times now. First as a couple, and 2nd as new parents with our 3.5 month old son. The hotel is simple..no elevator, only pay phone, no air conditioning...but what you get is a simple, straightforward Hawaiian experience. Dinner is served early, I think the kitchen closes at 7:30pm. My husband still craves the pork ...

Simple, clean, old-fashioned

We loved the simplicity of the Manago, the friendliness of the owners, and the fantastic view from our upstairs room. Our room was breezy and looked straight out to the ocean- quite magical.
