Rooms are real small & expensive; king size bed & barely room to move around. Great place to stay if this is your first trip to Ashland. On Main St., everything within easy walking distance, including Lithia Park (a must see in Ashland). Reserved parking lot for hotel guests; parking in Ashland is real scarce. Larks Restaurant has good ...

Great location, neat hotel...we liked it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/11/07
Not sure about the prior complaints... maybe things have improved since then? We had two rooms, and thought it was great. We stayed in early January, so the price was fair. Rooms 401 and 403 have king beds, and were plenty spacious!!! (Caution: they are the split type king = seam down the middle). Nice Continetal breakfast buffet, RIGHT downtown, clean, nice appointments, staff we encountered was very friendly.
We made reservations over the phone for our 10th Anniversary and Richard at the front desk was such a dear! He suggested we book a spa package at the Blue Giraffe that came with the cost of our room, which he upgraded to a top floor corner room! It was like stepping back in time in the lap of luxury! The complimentary Breakfast on the Mezzanine ...

Never Agian Will I Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/14/06
The Hotel has a beauiful look but it seems to be the one thing going for it.The staff were unhappy and not very pleasent.I over heard them complaining about managment and there wages. This is not what we wanted to hear. The rooms were small and not to clean. Found old tissues under the bed. Overall I would tell others to stay away. There are many nice bed and breakfasts in town and I'm sure the stay would be much more enjoyable.
When my flea bites continued to itch for 48 hours, I phoned the general manager at the Ashland Springs Hotel to tell him what had happened. Unlike the staff, he was very apologetic about our entire experience. He offered to refund our credit card, an offer we accepted. He said he would make sure the front desk employees do not say they have a ...
The lobby is absolutely quaint--like something out of a Humphrey Bogart movie--but the charm ends there. The rooms are VERY small. I have stayed in larger rooms in NYC for the same or lower price. The heat runs all night long, making the rooms unbearably dry, and the noise kept us awake all night. In addition to the vent and street noises, we ...

Give This One A Miss

Looks lovely but when you get into the room, the noise from the ducts and vents is ridiculous. When we enquired about the noise...(couldn't sleep for 2 nights) we were informed that the hotel was in a litigation battle with the people who installed the ducts but they would give us 20% off. After further investigation we discovered this had been ...

Children were running "wild" in the hallways, the crew handling the breakfast was late in setting up so we had to leave without breakfast. Lots of room for improvement.

Murder Mystery Dinner Package
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/05
We attended the Murder Mystery Dinner on Valentines day. The hotel room was small and very plain. The dinner portions were so small that after the show we went out to dinner. The murder mystery was enjoyable but overall the amount we were charged for the package was not worth what we recieved. J.Smith
