will not go backthe carpet was old,smelled and was very dirty. your feet would get black just walking on it. there was also an odor in the room. curtains were old so outside lights shown thru. and i left my small mp3 player in the room and it went missing. i called back and was never even given a courtsey call back.OVERALL

only place we staywe ave always stayed here whenever we come to nc. i am not sure why they have gooten bad reviews unless they ahve happened in the last few yeas, i havent been since 06, but plan to go back next month. i hope. i love the river out back, and everything about it, esp. the kitchenette.OVERALL

Unique and Charming PlaceWe try to get away as often as possible (we try a couple times a month) to this beautiful area to ride motorcycles. We've been past this place many times but thought it would be too expensive because of it's location on the river and stayed at the same chain motel in Bryson City. Never Again!We stayed here on the previous reviews given. I don't know what place these people were talking about, but it couldn't have been lloyd's. This place was NASTY! We loved it!The back porch with the river view made out evening complete after a busy day on the river rafting. The owners are delightful. Restaurants are close by. Nice Break From Chain HotelsWe experienced more personalized sevice with just 25 rooms. It's a charming Country Inn on the river. Had a room with a back door leading to a covered porch with rocking chairs with a river ( you can catch Trout in ) that is less than a stone's throw away. Nice Surprise!!!!!!!We loved this little hotel. The owner was nice and answered all of our question's. The room was very "Homey" and we were very relaxed there. GREAT PLACE FOR A GETAWAY (OR VACATION) ! ! !My husband and I wanted to get away from the beaches of Northwest Florida for a long weekend to see the leaves change in the mountains, so we stayed at Lloyd's on the River on a friend’s recommendation. AwesomeTerrific location if you want peace and quiet and truly enjoy the mountain/nature experience. The motel is older but well kept, extremely clean. Linens are fresh smelling like home, owners meet your every need. If you want to go somewhere and feel at home instead of a generic hotel chain, this is the place to go.
