The young ladies in the lobby were not friendly. There was a car show in town the night we had booked and we had a good rate. They said our reservation had been cancelled. (By Who?) But they had a more expensive room available if we wanted to pay $50.00 more. They knew they could rent the room for more money and cancelled us out. I had a confirmation Number and booked two weeks in advance. Never again for me at La Serena.

The front desk cleck was friendly on the phone and in person. The rates (weekday) are low for the quality room you get. The room I had was spacious, clean and the art was actually viewable. There was a nicely put together local guide with lots of helpful information and the walls were not paper thin. I hope they keep up the nice rooms and don't raise their rates! I would definitly go back, and have!

You can make a reservation months in advance - and when you arrive you find that they gave YOUR room (that you had a reservation for for months, confirmed and all) to someone else who just showed up...

No information, no phone call, no courtesy. Their excuse: hotel policy... yeah right... That is one bogus policy I have never heard of. What on earth do you make reservations for!

The La Serena Inn is perfectly located in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is close to the downtown and waterfront areas. I was impressed with the value, it is a great deal for such a clean and well appointed inn. The staff was attentive and friendly. I felt that I had died and checked in to hotel heaven!
