This place is better than most places around its price range. The service is good, there's a great place to eat right next door. The rooms are unique. There is a railroad right next to the hotel and this can be annoying sometimes.

I have stayed at the La Quinta in Irvine several times and the price, location and clean rooms keep me coming back. With the Spectrum so close, there are several fabulous restaurants nearby and shopping to boot. Disneyland is close enough to visit without all the crowds and the beach is only 8 miles away.

My experience there was horrible. Not a place to go if you want to sleep.

If you plan on sleeping at all during your stay, I don't recommend this hotel. It is extremely noisy. There were train track maybe twenty to thirty feet away from my room. Late at night and early in the morning the train would ride by blaring the horn waking me ...

We have stayed at the La Quinta at Irvine Spectrum 3 times (our most recent in June 2005). We keep coming back because of the terrific value and great service.
