Booked this motel based on reviews and it looked to be the cheapest in Gatlinburg. It was very clean, no "motel smell", shower and bathroom worked well. There were also extra amenities in the rooms like microwave and free breakfast. A short walk to several restaurants and shopping. I felt safe walking around the area alone. Friendly front desk staff. This was my first stay at a Red Roof Inn and I liked it.
The Red Roof Inn Gatlinburg we stayed last Sunday was great. The front desk was very personal and went out her way to anwser our questions. The lady in the morning was also very professinal. The price for the room was great and rooms were spotless and nice. You can't beat it i would recommand it to anyone i wish i would of got her name i wanted to thank her

Not very pet friendly

We stayed here because it was suppose to be pet friendly and pets were suppose to stay free. When we got there they charged us $20 for having a pet and there was no where for our dog to use the bathroom. They need to have some grass somewhere for them, we had to go into the forest which was a ways from our hotel. They also tell you to not leave ...
My wife and I planned to stay at the Gatlinburg Red Roof for a weekend getaway October 8-10th. We had read the reviews and weren’t expecting a 4 star hotel but did expect a “remodeled” (per their website) clean room. This couldn’t have been farther from the truth.
The first thing we noticed upon opening the door was a ...

My family shopped around for weeks looking at different cabins and hotels in the Gatlinburg area. We couldn't decide on anything and at the last minute booked ta room at the Redroof Inn in Gatlinburg. We were a little nervious because it had mixed reviews, but we gave it a shot. We were pleased with our room. The attendant at the desk was ...

Won't Go Back :-(
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/21/09
I am not typically a person who complains openly about accommodations, but this place is unsafe and made me feel insecure. Other than the typical complaints people have about cleanliness, friendliness of staff, and other ammenities, I have a huge concern about this particular hotel. I have never before stayed at a hotel where NOBODY is on staff ...
I did not find anything I did not like about this motel.
Best Ever
I live one hour from Gatlinburg and have been visiting for 40 plus years. This is my favorite place and is economical. Quaint, quiet, clean, etc., etc., etc. Will go back as soon as possible.
Thanks to all the employees - they were all friendly and very helpful.
We came down to Gatlinburg to get married, and stayed at the Red Roof Inn.We had a very nice room, with a working AC, TV, Microwave,TV and Coffee Pot. The room was clean, even though the bed was a bit hard. The front desk clerk was friendly and quickly brought more towels when we called down for them. It's off the main strip so it was quiet and within walking distance of everything. We would stay here again.
The room was clean & roomy. The air & TV worked well. The desk clerk was friendly & helpful. It is on the edge of town. It is on the mountain side. It is relatively quiet and out of the way.
Pls avoid this red roof inn. Very disappointing. They lie on their website. It is not all brand new, it is a renevated property. Shabby I might add. No pillowtop mattress as advertised, beds very hard. Very, very small bathroom and unsafe. My fiance fell in the shower because their were not enought "grippies" in the bottom. ...
