We were given keys to 3 rooms until we got somewhat of a half clean room. The microwave and fridge were filthy with old food. There was hair on the towels, bed and a cigarette burn on the sheets along with stains all over the dust ruffle and matress pad. The carpet was filthy and covered with cig. burns. The couch was torn on the arm. The night ...
construction across the hall at 6am. i was never informed of it at check in and management told me oh well. i also had to pay much more than the couple in line behind me that was a walk in off the street. again upper management told me sorry nothing they could do.
This hotel was horrible, the manager was unreasonable and rude. The room was filthy, bed linens stained, towels dirty, mold in shower area, ceiling tiles dislodged, furniture broken and beat up, television beat up and not functioning, carpet stained, bathroom dirty and asked for a wake up call at 6 a.m. sharp and it never came until 6:25 a.m. ...
Everywhere you looked was water damage. The lobby had sagging and discolored ceiling tiles. Then it became worse: 1. Every exposed metal surface was rusted. 2. The shower could bairly put out even warm water and it howled. 3. Light fixture in the bathroom had a hole in it where you could see inside the wall. 4. Halls stunk and were badly ...
Tried 2 different rooms, but both smelled bad. The A/C units barely kept the room temp from being intolerable. The beds were old and uncomfortable. Sheets and towels were not very fresh and front desk seemed uncaring.
Planned to stay 2-3 nights, but had to check out after worst hotel stay in 20 years. Ended up going down the street to Jameson Inn which was very comfortable.
First, this was not a "RAMADA INN" as was on the website OR my reservation confirmation from YAHOO.
Second, this hotel apparently suffered significant damage from last year's hurricane(s). Water damage was clearly evident. The room had a wonderful "musty" smell.
Stay as far away from this hotel, (now called SAFAR INN) as you can !!!!
The hotel itself is very nice & clean. The only issue we had was that our room was facing the lobby. It was a Saturday night. There is a dance club across from our room behind one of the doors in the lobby & the music was very loud. Did not sleep well until about 3am. Had about 3-4 hours of sleep that night. About 2am, there were people through out ...
The Safar Inn is a clean, but not flashy hotel. It currently has wireless internet access, if you are in the block of rooms that is close enough to the antenna. It was clean, it was available, and it was centrally located to most things.
The Safar Inn is looking dated, but it is clean and with the destruction from the hurricanes I'm sure ...
