The staff was extremely friendly and helpful...from the dining staff to the front desk. I think the rooms and the overall condition of the inn is a bit tired. It needs a facelift but of course keep the "inn" atmosphere.

I think the Sherwood is a beautiful inn, with a history of fine service. It's location acroos the street from the lake is ideal. The town of Skaneateles is a quaint and charming place. The service is very competent, the staff is well trained, courteous and hospitable.

Really bad service, bad food and a snotty young staff, takes away from the beautiful setting. Room prices are fair. The view as amazing and the town is great.

The service was excellent. We were upgraded without asking. Everything was clean, well decorated, comfortable. There is a feeling of peace while staying there. The views are great! The breakfast was wonderful.

My wife and I returned to enjoy The Sherwood for a surprise birthday for her. We have not been able to experience the Inn in a number of years. I feel like I am "in the mix" when I stop in for a drink, cheese and crackers, and a light dinner. Everything is delicious and I love both the view of the lake and the fireplace. Your bartenders are entertaining and I love to stop in and always do.

Starting with the incredible view south to Skaneateles lake, the bar area was inviting and very busy with a combination of well dressed local business people and tourists. The revamping dining areas are elegant and the food is very good.

Location for enjoying the village is wonderful with antique shops and bakery next door, and many interesting gift and boutique shops just down the street.
