The rooms were filthy and the room was barely cleaned. The noise form the heat kept us awake. The receptionist, however, was friendly. I do not recommend

The hotel was clean, the beds somewhat soft but the main disadvantage was the weird smell in the room.
Perhaps some kind of disinfectant? There was no one at the desk when we left in the morning. The smell made me not want to return.

We stayed here for a soccer tournament in Amherst. Our main complaint was about the toilet paper. When we arrived, there was only a half of roll in the room. Staff was very helpful and accomidating. Nothing fancy here but had a very good experience for an extended stay. I would come back again.

The University Motor Lodge is not a fancy place, but I found it to be clean and comfortable. It's within walking distance of downtown Amherst and U-Mass.
