During my stay at Browns Beach My friends came by and invited them up to our rooms.We were told that they were'nt allowed.I suggested that they leave their ID at the front desk and it was against hotel policy.I checked Hotel policies and it requested that vistors remain in lobby area.They seem to have strict rules against Sri lankans.

they wont allow ur guests inside ur rooms and make them wait outside and give very poor response to ur guests and friends who come to meet u.u wont have4 any privacy with ur guests at ur own comfort and hospitality.

The policy on children sharing the parents room stinks at browns. The rooms were dirty the place looked as though it could do with a major overhaul. The food was offputting it was buffet style but the lids were left open with flies crawling all over the food. The sevice was poor we ordered lunch but were still waiting 1 hour later. The beach was lovely

Our holiday staying at Browns Beach was everything we hoped for. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. If you go there do make use of the laundry service they make everything look brand new! An excellent base to see the island - see Shantha (turn right as you go out of the hotel. 200m along on left)for the best tours!

I like the location. The rooms were smelling and dirty. The management said that internet service is available but it was not the case. I was very disappointed.
