A commendable place to stay!!!I like the friendly and hospitable staff, the gardens, the food and everything!!! I miss the early morning breakfast in such a peaceful and refreshing environment. Will returnThis hotel was a real surprise. A quiet oasis with lovely gardens, in the middle of the city. You would not think you were in Cebu. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff always keen to look after you. The food is varied and good quality. Home away from homeI liked everything there is about this place. An icon in the hotel business for years. This is very much comparable to any 3 stars or even higher rated hotels here in the United States.

Ideally locatedThis hotel is ideally located at the heart of the city closer to department stores, malls and restaurants and it has preserved its "far-from-the-city" ambience. Everyday back I am still at the MontebelloOn previous 2006 trips I stayed at more expensive Hotels on the Hill. A friend recommended the Montebello. Stayed for two weeks in April 2007. The staff are like family. Ask and they will do their best to accomodate. The room was very nice and the airconditioning was capable of freezing us out. hospitabilitythe place is clean although it cannot compete the cleanliness of japan ,the country i have chosen to live for more half of my lifetime.
the place is very quiet, good for me who is a highly strung woman. very rural inside the compound.
this is the best place for me travelling in a tight, and a hectic schedule
