We loved this hotel. We booked directly through their website instead of using hotel.com or other go-between companies (don't know if that might be why people have problems here). We booked a smoking room (only cause it was cheaper) double in the Annex tower for 7 nights. We didn't pay at that time of reservation, so all we had was a ...
Excellent proximity to the subway. Very helpful staff. Good selection of restaurants near the hotel. Wings department store next door. I rarely eat at a buffet but I wanted to try local dishes and went to 4 different breakfast buffets restaurants on the hotel grounds. All were slightly different and a great experience. Of course, tried many restaurants away for the hotel as well. Would stay there again.

deceptive and dishonest - watch out for last minute fees
I booked a reservation for 3 people via hotels.com.
Upon arriving at the hotel, the front desk insisted that we would be changed an additional $59 for an additional person, claiming that our reservation only covered 2 people. They were unwilling to reverse the charge or even work with us on a compromise.
Location is excellent , across the street is Shinagawa JR station, restaurants everywhere at doorstep, car rental 10min walk , clean and tidy. Definitely my hotel whenever in Tokyo !
I really really enjoyed my stay at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. The rooms were clean. The view was great. There were plenty of places in the hotel to eat if you didn't want to venture far from your room (everything from McD's to Kobe Beef). And you were right across the street from a train station that could take you where you wanted to go ...

I absolutely loved it there. They had a ton of amenities, and I would love to go back again. They had the lovely little theme park, and the great aquarium, along with a movie theatre, bowling alleys, shopping in the bottom, and bullet train access right out the door! They had pretty good food, and a ton of great experiences. I cannot wait to go back!
We just got back from 2 nights at the Takanawa Prince (in Shinagawa), 2 nights at the Hotel Granvia (in Kyoto) and 2 nights at the Shinagawa Prince. The Shingawa Prince had the smallest room and the shabbiest furnishings. From its website, we expected the Shinagawa Prince to be the best of the 3, but it was the most disappointing.
Pros: 1. ...

Just came back to the states from a nice visit to Japan. Which included (4) nites at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. I wanted to point out something NEGATIVE about this hotel. First, there are (3) buildings in the Shinagawa Prince complex: The"New"tower, the"Center" tower and the "Annex". When I booked this hotel for ...

Nomi Hodai!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
Well, the hotel looks nice, but I've never stayed there. I do know that near the top they have a beautiful view of the city and for about $20 you can enjoy the nomi hodai (all-you-can-drink). It's from 6-9 pm on weekdays.
Wear something nice and ask to sit near the window. The staff can be useless or very friendly depending on how ...

This hotel was amazing. When we went to Japan we didn't know anything, all we had was 2 travel books and a few ideas of things to do from some american-japanese friends but after getting off the plane and the time zone change killing us it was good just to get walk out of shinagawa's train station and seeing one of the most beautiful hotels ...
