As staff of a large international organization I was bound to use one of three major hotels in Lagos, of which I chose the Federal Palace Hotel. The hotel is located very conveniently for the business I had to do, close to the Nigerian Insitute for Oceonagraphy and Marine Research (NIOMR). Staff are friendly and courtuous.

I like the sea view but the price is steep. The service was good the staff is friendly especially at the front desk. I dislike that the rooms are somewhat outdated needs rejuvenation. Another dislike is the Bar rat that frequents the lounge area day and night.So people when you sit in the lounge raise your feet!!!! All in all not a bad hotel. I will be going back.

Although in need of modernisation, I found the facilities good, particularly the swimming pool and the staff most friendly and very eager to help. Both the room and laundry services were good.

Attended a wedding in the gardens here. Absolutely stunning! A beautiful location by the water and excellent service. The hotel itself is undergoing renovation and I trust that they are going to be really impressive. Whilst I attended a wedding there I did not sleep there so I cannot comment about the hotel itself. It is a lovely place for an outdoor reception though.

Travelling for conferences I have seen many hotels but this one would have to be one of the worst I have stayed at . . .This hotel would have been quite lush in the 70's but since has not had anything done to it. I believe a second wing is being built but still looks like it is a long way from completion

The location is fine and the view is nice, however, the condition of the rooms is totally unacceptable. They have a new wing but nobody knows when it will open. A definite no no.

I have stayed at the Federal Palace Hotel several times. The location is nice and the staff friendly . But the credit card payments take a lot of time and business centre is also not very well furnished. In short, the hotel does not offer value for the high tariff it charges 180-200 USD/night.
