the place dirty, smelled really bad, had to go to a different hotel to go swimming, the breakfest that was offered was very sad my child would not eat it. too sum it all up I felt like I was at a rent a room for an hour.

I stay at the Vindel every time I go back and forth to the upper peninsula. I wont stay anywhere else. I tried other motels and didn't like them. Its very clean and quiet. I wish they had free wireless internet.

i love this place! its quiet and not very far at all from the shops and resteraunts of mackinaw...actually...if you dont mind walking then you could actually walk right up town. Its just a small little place not far from the town.
but if you are looking for a warm outdoor pool and animal free environment then the Vindel is not for you.

Found the Vin-Del to be very cozy in the winter. There were not a lot of places open in the winter, we were glad they were. Going backk in the summer.

The rooms were spotless, the staff was friendly, the pool was relaxing and everything was so close. The owner was very knowledgable about the attractions and made our vacation very enjoyable. Can't wait to go back.
