I recently visited Superior on June 13 and 14. The deal on the hotel room was really good but when I arrived, I was extremely dissapointed. The hotel isn't in the best part of town and our room wasn't very clean either. Loved my stay at the Superior Inn, enjoyed the high speed internet in the lobby(new since my last stay). Room I was in also had a new bed, very comfortable!! Prices very reasonable, could still afford to see many of the Duluth/Superior attractions.

This was the only place available at a reasonable price. It was reccomended by the chamber of commerce. It is located in an older part of town(but convenient) and is an older motel. Has not been updated since the
Truman administration, and is in bad need of updating. Walls are thin and motel is noisy.

Our first night we stayed on the main floor. It was dirty, and looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 70's. The beds were old and sagged, and it was an absolutely horrid night.

The next morning, I complained and stated we were checking out, and the front desk girl told us she could give us a room upstairs.

If you are looking for a cheap place to crash this is a good hotel. Good value for the area and very clean rooms. Breakfast is carbs only: bagels, juice, doughnuts and coffee which is more then appropriate in this price range. The water temperature in the showers changed quickly from hot to ice cold and back. The hot tub was to hot to sit in and had no way to change it. Staff did adjust it somehow and could sit in it for short time. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was okay not great for picky kids (bring own cereal and milk!) Location was great for going into Duluth and back. Room was comfortable, beds were real soft but made you sweat because of plastic bed cover.

we liked that we could bring our dog with us, the friendly staff, convienient breakfast / coffee area, plus the pool and sauna area was terrific. handy location for shopping . regret that we did not visit The Hammond, next time though.
