AFter reading some of the reviews here I feel there must be some hidden rooms somewhere. The one I stayed in was a dump. It was small upgrade from camping in a tent.The people that put in positive reviews must have been paid buy the managment to put those positive comments in or they just dont get out much. PAy a few more dollars and get a decent place. This place could double as the Bates motel!

the rooms are so run down and old. Not what you'd expect for the cost. We have stayed there 2 times, several years apart. We figured after the first time , they would clean it up and update it, it hadn't changed, still the same old damp , wet , stinky rooms. I really don't think the owners care as long ...

the rooms are run down, needs modernized and cleaned better. The rooms smell musty and damp.We enjoyed the stay, the location was great. The fact its on the water is great. It just needs some work on the rooms to freshen and modernize them.

the room was dirty smelled liked old cheese the bathroom was dirty the sheets you could see through them the bath towels had stains on them and the wash cloths also coners of the bathroom floor has never seen a mop wa not what we expected there was was 5 couples and we all agree that we would never come back there none of us got the rooms we had asked for

We found it to be very comfortible and pleasant in a "not-so-modern" comfort zone. It is a nice motel in the fifties and sixties tradition of mom and pop places. It better matches Cherokee's ambiance than a newer (where am I realy) major chain motel.

My husband and I found this hotel about 3 years ago. Now it is the only place we stay in Cherokee. We try to visit at least 3 times per year. It is perfect and quiet and on the river. Close to all the ammenities. Great all you can eat steak house next door. On our last visit, there was renovations and construction going on, but it still did not ...
