Well, my husband decided to surprise me with a special night.. The grounds are beautiful but a large and young wedding crowd made it impossible to enjoy the gardens. No parking also due to the wedding. Room was nice but not for the money. The complimentary breakfast was pitiful, the serving table dirty and neglected, not much to offer ...

This review is for The Nest (spa)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/06
I was at Wine & Roses for a daytime business function and had some spare time at the end. I decided to visit the spa. There weren't any directional signs ; I wandered around and found it. The spa must've just opened because they had a sheet of paper on the front, glass door with the name handwritten on it.
The grounds at this place are ...

A waste of money served up with a side of snobbery
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/06
We had dinner at Wine and Roses for a special occasion. We were disappointed by the food and service. The asparagras soup tasted like pureed baby food. The portions were child-sized for the price. And what was on the plate wasn't impressive. The waiter was pushy and didn't bring the appetizers we ordered. He hardly "waited" ...
Our daughter had her wedding there December 2005. Grounds were beautiful. The rooms were great with fireplace in rooms. The bridal suite was large with step down private dining area. The food was outstanding and very reasonable. I would recommend for a quite get away.
If your idea of a worry-free planning involves 6 weeks worth of unreturned phone calls and emails, lost deposits and complete disregard for your business, this is the place! Try leaving them a message, see how responsive they are. Now multiply that by three, that's what you will expect once you've signed the contract. Stay away!

best romantic getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/05
My husband and i were trying to getaway for our anniversary but we did not want to travel far. wine and roses creates the feeling of getting away with staying close to home.
we stayed in one of the vintner suites and it was incredible. the jacuzzi tub was an added bonus. it was so relaxing. the room was very spacious and provided all of the comforts of a 5 star hotel.
We will be back.

Loved IT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/05
The room we stayed in was called the graden room and it was lovely. The linens were beautiful and comfortable. The decor was romantic. The only complaint was that we were recommended a really bad wine and the stay was a little costly for Lodi, ca. The room was very clean and the spa services were exceptional!!
We (my husband and I and our three children 4, 2 and 1) stayed one night in the historic part of the hotel. Our party stayed in a total of four rooms. The reservationist neglected to tell us that they would be playing amplified music until 11:15 pm directly below our room. (We could hear and feel the music.) Our shower was dirty and didn't ...
