First, "Iaorana" is the word you'll often hear, meaning Hello and Welcome. My partner and I stayed in a Garden Bungalow, and my in-laws stayed in an Over-Water Bungalow. Rooms: Very clean. Beautiful bathroom and inside of roof. Patio is big enough for a small cocktail party. Loved the open concept of the bungalow, it's just ...

Wonderful Vacation

This resort is wonderful. The overwater bungalows are beautiful, the staff is helpful, and it is one of the best places to snorkel on the island. I would highly recommend to anyone. Pricey, but if you are going over there why not make it the best.
I am an easy going traveler that almost never has anything negative to say about service but this resort truly lacked service. Some of the employees were great but we had several food service and housekeeping problems. We traveled with friends and here is a summary of our largest issues:
Glass under and in pizza (room service). Luckily it was ...

Wasn't sure if we had died and gone to heaven.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/05
When we arrived in Papeete I was a little concerned with the cleanliness of the city. Once we arrived at the Sheraton in Tahiti, all of my concerns were cleaned away. The boat ride over to Moorea provided beautiful views of Tahiti from the water. We didn't think that things could get any better.
If you've never been to Tahiti, just think of Walt Disney getting there before you and setting up the ocean floor for snorkleing! It is just unbelievable. Breath taking!
There are many tours to take on many of the islands. They love telling you who's been where and who stayed where!
This vacation is a bit more pricey than some, but what you get for you dollar is absolutely fabulous!!!

A dream came true!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
Sheraton Moorea is a really unbielivable place!! We were in the overwater bungalows and I didn't want to sleep more than 5 hours because I wanted to enjoy maximum the resort. This was like in a dream, especially when you wake up and you see the sunrise on the water horizon!! So beautiful! I'll keep that image in my head forever!! Food ...
The Sheraton Moorea Lagoon was the perfect location to enjoy our honeymoon and first vacation to French Polynesia! Their overwater bungalows are a must to take in all these islands have to offer; long days, beautiful sunsets, and posssibly the best snorkling in the world. Spending a week at this resort felt like a month. After a few days the staff ...
From arrival to departure, our stay was uncompromisingly perfect. We were incredibly fortunate to receive a horizon overwater bungalow that was located at the very end of the sinuous wooden pier. The suite showcased incredible sunrise and sunset views whether situated in the clawfoot tub, kingsize bed, or upper or lower deck. The water was ...

My happy place...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/05
This was our favorite island and hotel that we stayed at on our visit. The people are wonderful and the best beach and snorkeling. The pizza from the stone oven is the best, but a ways from the hotel. Don't go to the street side bus, close to the hotel for pizza, very bad. The banana pizza is the best at the other place. The garden rooms ...
