The place was covered in bugs and when we pulled the sheets back there were bugs in the bed also. The manager/owner was very rude and would not refund our money even though we were only in the room for 30 minutes. Don't waste your time and money on this place.
My car broke down on the turnpike just four miles outside of Hugo. Desperate to get off the side of the road, I made arrangements with a Hugo wrecker company to tow my car to town. Aware that I needed a place to stay, the tow truck driver took me to the Village Inn (the motel owners also operate a car repair shop in town). I was tired and ...

The beds are very uncomfortable. There was a very strong musty moldy smell and you could literally see mold or something black and green growing under the sink along the wall . The toilet pulls away from the wall when you sit on it. There was a hugh hole above the shower that had been stuffed with a paper bag. Walls are dirty. Tub dripped all ...

Mold smell
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/06
I will not stay here again even though I periodically have business in Hugo. There was a very strong mold smell in the room. The beds were uncomfortable. I had to search for a level spot on the bed. Staff were not very friendly. I recommend the B&B instead. It's not the best I've ever stayed in, but several steps up from this hotel.
My family and I stay here every year during our family reunion in the summers and we have never had a complaint except one. We can't always get rooms next to each other. Otherwise we have no complaints. My sister and her family chose to stay here when they had to evacuate from Houston during the hurricanes. Thank God they were there and so accomidating!

the place looked ok from the road. and the people seemed nice, but the room looked old and dirty the smell of the carpet was terrible
I have stayed here for weeks at a time and have always had great service. I had the oportunity to stay in a larger town with national chain motels and decided to stay at the Village Inn. Wireless internet isn't available at many motels twice as big.
If you like the feel of a small town, you will like the Village Inn.

Great Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/04
Great place to stay in a little town! Very friendly service. The prices are a little higher then what is posted, but I feel it was well worth it. Maybe the prices have not been updated? The property was clean and the people were really nice. I stayed with the Village Inn for a week and I was very satisfied with my stay!!:)
I stayed at the village inn in Hugo Ok and was very dissapointed. I had no amenities in my room, no radio,no microwave, no remote. The bathtub dripped, and I could not sleep for the noise. Water was standing on the floor by the toilet. According the price list on the internet, I was over charged. The price stated is 36.60 to 43.10 per night. I was charged 49.00 plus tax. I paid 110.00 for two nights. I will never stay there again
