The service was great, the location was great, room very nice and the price good for my pockets... Even though the city is wrecked now due to the hurricane, my heart and prayers go out to all of the ones affected. This will always be my favorite town and I will return to visit - nothing can change New Orleans. N.O. I love you

Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/08/05
My wife and I spent 5 days at this hotel we enjoyed every moment. We toured around in the morning and spend the afternoon at the pool.Everyone was very helpfull in the hotel. We can't wait until our next visit.
Sonesta Chateau is walking distance to everything touristy. 1/2 block walk to Bourbon Street. It is right on Canal Street-easy to walk to Riverfront and walk to streetcar and bus stops. Yet is is very elegant, and very quiet, has an outdoor courtyard in the middle of the hotel where you cannot hear any traffic or city noises at all. The only place we stay when in New Orleans.
The location was perfect and the staff very helpful as well as friendly. Pool area is nice. I actually left my favorite t-shirt by the pool the day we left and realized I had forgot it when I was at the airport. Security retrieve my shirt and had the desk mail it to me. You can't beat service like that. Thank you, Chateau Sonesta, for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic Hotel in the Quarter
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/05
My husband and I stayed here and really have nothing but great things to say about it. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Location is perfect, in the Quarter, but not noisy. The amenities were great. I would have expected to pay much more for the location and quality of this property. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a wonderful in New Orleans.
The location is outstanding.Walking distance to everything. Steps away from Bourbon Street but with no noise. The rooms are huge and very nice. If you book enough in advance you can get an great deal. People there very helpful and very nice. Great pool area....worth the stay!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/16/05
We Liked the fact that it was close to all the fabulous food and drink. Comparitively it was clean. The staffwas more than helpful. We did not rent a car and the staff always made sure we made our destinations on time. And of course the Southern Hospitality was at its finest! Keeping things up in NO can be difficult because of the turnover but the ...

Great start to a cruise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/05
Nice comfortable rooms with French quarter feel. Also enjoyed the convenience to the Quarter from the central location of the hotel. Staff were congenial and hotel was worth extra night in New Orleans before starting cruise.

Please don't stay here I want your room!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/05
This was an old Department Store converted to a grand Hotel. The ceilings are tall, the rooms spacious. It runs the full block on Iberville from Bourbon to Dauphine. I've stayed at many places in N.O. including their sister property the Royal Sonesta and there is no comparing any place else. You've got location, size, recently converted ...
