Just returned from Scribner's Hollow Lodge on hunter Mountain. DO NOT STAY HERE!! This is one on the most mis-represented hotels I have ever stayed at. I have been staying at this hotel Lodge through the years and it has consistently been a friendly and warm place to stay. Great food and atmosphere. I'll be back.

This place is HELL on a hillside.
Dirty, cheap and nasty attitudes.
The place is dark and has a very

blah at best. These people are only interested in your money.

The lodge is charming, the food is fresh,good. The grotto pool is great after skiing-the mt is so close. The only negative is that it is expensive -even considering that the price of the meals are included.

We liked the closeness to Hunter Mountain. My husband and I both enjoy hiking so after a long day it is great to just drop in the car and drive a short distance to your room.
Breakfast and dinner had a wide range of choices.

I read some very harsh reviews after booking and feared the worst, but I was impressed with the lodge. The food was great, the indoor pool was a huge hit with my kids (and other children we saw at the pool). The room and bathroom were clean and if I go back to Hunter, I would stay there again. I question the motivation behind the bad reviews which based on my experience are completely unfair.
