My girlfriends and I went for a week getaway ... it was so perfect, quaint and relaxing. The service was great and it is in a prime location. Even now, my friends look at our time there for that week as one of the best (and relaxing) vacations ever! There are alot of stairs so if that is a problem, you may want to inquire about adaptations/accomodations beforehand. It is not luxurious ... but relaxing, quaint and friendly service.

Great inn for families

Many of the inns and bed and breakfasts on Martha's Vineyard do not accomadate families with children under the age of 12. I am happy that the Dockside Inn is not one of those inns. 2005 was our 10th year in a row coming to the Dockside. We come in August now to enjoy Illumination Night, the Community Sing, the Agricultural Fair and the fireworks. The Inn is extremely well kept up and we look forward to a new surprise each time we arrive. The rooms are immaculately clean, cozy, well air conditioned and quiet. Take the ferry ...
