We live in auckland and we go and stay at the crowne plaza, we find its a wonderful place to stay , clean hotel friendly staff great bar and restaurant
we have stayed five times now and will be going again on xmas day to have our dinner at aria looking forward to it

Crowne Plaza Auckland is very central located in the heart of Auckland. Room was spacious, with all amenities. Bathroom was absolutely clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Only small minus is that the entrance was not really pedestrian friendly. Cars, taxis, shuttles can park right in front of the door, but hardly a sidewalk available.
Also an Internet connection was not included and quite expensive.

This hotel was very run-of-the-mill. Cigarette odor and burns in the bedspread despite it being a non-smoking room. Bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly. Hot water was intermittent. And the price was 50 dollars more than what we had booked it for--deceptive fine print that one should pay careful attention to if booking on the Internet.
