I had gone to the Fig tree camp for a picnic with a group I had gone to the mara with. From what I experienced it was AMAZING!
Just like all of the hotels/and lodging areas this was a great place.
We picnic'd near a river and it was wounderful. The bar area was wounderful. And the bathrooms might have not been a 5star bathroom but does it really matter. ITS AFRICA it doesnt have to be 5star.

This place was amazing! After flying into a gravel landing strip, jeeps awaited us to take us on our first safari and then on to the Fig Tree Camp. We were greeted with refreshments and our luggage was carried to our beautiful tents. The tents were beyond incredible and the bedding so comfortable and beautiful! Our visit last week to the Fig Tree Camp was a wonderful experience. The camp facilities are good, the game viewing starts right outside the camp, all transfers etc. were on time with staff assisting where required, and the hot air balloon ride was spectacular.

I can recommend the camp to any person who would like to experience a few aspects of African wildlife while still enjoying some comforts.

We have been VERY DISAPPOINTED with the accomodation in the Fig Tree Camp in Masai Mara.
We booked a tent and, instead, we were accomodated in a very dull, dirty horrible cabin (n. 31C), without any furniture except the beds. Definetely a place not suitable to spend a night in for any tourist.

What is there not to appreciate about life in it's purest form?! One could not go there and deny that there is a God! It is absolutely amazing! It is truly breath taking and will leave you in awe.

Wonderful accommodations, fine cuisine and service second to none. My wife and I went with a group and stayed two nights. Two weeks would have been better. The staff was very knowledgable and accommodating. Just watch out for the "bad" monkeys if you are eating under the table umbrellas.
