We have stayed at this hotel. We reserved through Internet, not directly hotel site and have already charged the amount when we booked online. We have reserved "KING size bed room", but our room was "FULL size bed room". The manager said, "it is not guaranteed". However we got king size room which no access with ...

Money down the drain

The junior suite was expensive ($419/night), yet it was only a large room. The pool was filthy, the restaurant was average but very, very expensive. A frozen drink in a plastic cup was $12.50. The location is convenient, yet it is NOT in South Beach!!!!
One of the 2 main lobby elevators was out of order the entire 3 days we were here. There ...
I’ve stayed at the Palms numerous times. I’ve always gone with a group of friends. We always had a blast! The bar by the pool is great! The lounge inside is cool. Clean pool and the hotel is right on the beach. The Palms is only 10 min away from South Beach. If you don’t want to stay on the strip and rather stay at a quiet setting but, close ...

Nice place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/05
The Hotel is located in the "quiter" part of South-Beach, which is really nice because of the relaxing atmosphere. 17$ Valet parking -service is absolutely worth it. Rooms are clean an seem to be newly renovated (very stylish). The Pool deck is great and offers besides a few Hammocks also pool chairs for everyone. Easy Beach access - just seconds to the ocean.

South Beach - Quiet
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/31/05
We enjoyed our stay at The Palms over Easter Weekend. Although the hotel has a few minor blemishes it provides an opportunity to experience South Beach without the congestion or "arrogance quotiant" of some other hotels along the strip. The hotel's best assets are its relaxing pool area, a good restraunt, and friendly staff.

Some service problems
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/05
Valet and bell service were exceptional. Bar service and availibility were mixed - some periods when no service was available. No late support to take breakfast room service orders. The order had to be placed in the morning. Not enough hotel staff at reservations desk. Two attendants at the check out desk who were not always there made for huge/timely check out lines on a holiday weekend.
The hotel is located right on the beach. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are included in the room price. Check in / check out was a breeze. Excellent Bell Service and Valet Service. You'll get pampered at The Palms. Lots of things to do within walking distance. We will be back again next year!
