Just finished a six-night stay. My wife and I are frequent business travelers and spent last summer vacation at a top resort in Scottsdale, AZ, so we've been to 4-star hotels. This is not a 4-star hotel. Not even close.
The service throughout was average at best. The restaraunt service was amateurish. Looks like they use college kids who ...

Easter at Tenaya Lodge was fantastic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/07
Five stars for your staff, ambiance and excellent food. We had a wonderful Easter with the family, including our 4-1/2 year old grandson. Thanks for making our stay memorable...we can't wait for next Easter. A small thing...the Easter Egg Hunt for all age groups really needed more eggs. Most children found about two eggs, but some children came up empty handed.
Upon check-in at the Tenaya, we immediately noticed how friendly and helpful the staff was. We checked in without any hitches and once we were in our room, we received a call from the front desk asking if everything was to our satisfaction with our room and wanted to know if we had any complaints. We were shocked!! We have never gotten such a call ...

The Best of the Best!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/07
I loved this hotel. It was clean and had a very friendly service. It had a very big and clean indoor pool. I didn't get to use the outdoor pool because of the weather but it looked pretty big. They have an ice skating rink, but I didt't want to use it because it was raining. Though it looked inviting.I think this is the best place for families who love the outdoors!!!

Beautiful venue and amenities

We loved the Tenaya Lodge. The Lodge is ideally located just 2 miles south of the entrance to Yosemite Park. The Lodge overlooks a beautiful valley and retains a hunting lodge feel to it. The restaurants are adequate and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. The activities revolve around Yosemite and are seasonal--check these out before ...

Best for Badger Pass
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/06
Don't stay at the Apple Tree Inn next door. It's dirty. For the money, Tenaya is a much better value. Off-season rates are great. Ideal run/hike/cross country ski on the dirt road right out from the hotel parking lot. Sleigh rides in winter, too.

Great place for families - close to Yosemite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/06
This is a very nice hotel with nice resort facilities and lots of organized events, services and activities to choose from. The restaurants are reasonably priced and serve good food. I went there with my wife and two sons, 2 and 6 years old.
My only observation/warning is that this hotel is quite far from Yosemite Valley (50 minute drive) ...
the best hotel i've ever stayed at: the best service; the best food; the nicest, coziest rooms, and not too pricey to what i'v seen lately!!!!!!!!

it was better before it went independent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/05
Its a beautiful hotel in a great location. It was originally built as part of a major hotel group. When I returned a few years later for a business trip, it had gone independent and it was not as good, but the prices were the same.
