The hotel is just simply a dump. Food is terrible. The drinks are terrible. The ice makers do not work. The hot tubs do not work. The place smells. The beds are terrible. They stock the rooms with one beer at a time.

I would say this is a solid 2 star hotel. Anyone who says otherwise needs to have their head checked.

I loved this resort. It was absolutely beautiful. We got married on the beach of the Riu Yucatan. The wedding planner from the hotel was great and very affordable. I don't have any complaints! The beach was the best I had ever been to. Better than Bahamas or Jamiaca. The staff and service was excellent! Nightly entertainment and being able to walk to the plaza or the other Rui hotels was a place. Now I just need some more money to go back!

I just arrived home from my stay at the Riu Yucatan in Playa del Carmen, and I already can't wait to go back. The hotel was beautiful, but it was the great staff taht really made the stay enjoyable. From the wait and service staff, to the entertainment staff, they would take their time to stop and chat and help you with anything you needed. ...

I was told it would be a 30 min drive from airport, it took us one hour and thirty min on apple tours bus. Absolutely perfect other than that. Unfortunately we will not come back because of the drive.The beds are unbelievably HARD!

there was no dislikes about this holiday!!! every part of it was fantastic im 16 and i went with my mum and dad and auntie and uncle all 40-50! they loved it too! its definatly a place for all the family the staff and the community couldnt do enough for you!!! the only problem that i could possibly find is we went in mid august and it was a bit humid! overall i would tell anyone to go there!

This was the best trip I have ever been on. My boss took everyone I work with there for a long weekend and we had a blast. It was so great that I forgot how my boyfriend broke up with me the night before I left to go. Plus we met the most interestion people from england there.

I loved the view of the ocean, it was beautiful. And the people there were awesome, I liked Roger the lobby bar bartender! I didn't really like the shows down by the bars at night.

i loved staying at the yucatan! the service,staff and value made my holiday very enjoyable. The childeren loved it here also because of the friendly staff that made then feel very welcome. id recomend it too anybody!
