The person who said the decor is ugly just doesn't get it, I guess. It is sort of Shakespere theatrical with modern touches and is very fun. Harlequin patterned carpet in the room sets the mood with bedspread that has Shakespere quotes written on it. And a wild star pattern wallpaper in the bath. It's vey creative.

The best location for the Festival. Very nice staff, nice accomodations. BUT, the decor in the rooms is unbelievably ugly. I overheard many of the guests laughing about it. They really need to get a decent decorator to re-do it, and then it would be perfect.

This hotel has the best location in Ashland. Easy walk to the Theatre and restaurants. I grew up in Ashland and return 2 or 3 times a year despite the fact that my parents are no longer there. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

The Plaza Inn and Suites were great! They loaned me a 2 wheeler to carry some heavy items to the Post Office for Shipment.
The personnel were VERY customer Service oriented and helpful, going out of there way to help. For those of you who read the negative regarding this hotel, I would say...

We stay here twice a year since it opened because of the location - excellent proximity to the Festival. The rooms are fine, breakfast adequate, snacks after the play a plus. However, the personnel are unresponsive, often indifferent, and rarely willing to accomodate early arrivals despite being advised of the necessity weeks in advance. Alas, the location keeps us coming back but the personnel sorely need a course in customer service.

Expensive, rude to customers.
This reservation was made a year in advance for a Spa King with Jacuzzi tub.
Not available upon arrival, given noisey, dismal room with RV size Shower/Tub.
This hotel only cares about how much money they can make from their guests, not customer service.

A very nice hotel with well appointed rooms. We stayed in a queen studio, which was a little on the small side, but very comfortable. They have a nice but very basic breakfast bar. We would stay there again. Staff was average, but one woman on the front desk day shift was outstanding and very helpful. Most of the staff seemed to be college students marking time, they were always in the back office and not at the front counter.

Easy walking distance to the plaza, well-designed and decorated, covered parking, and a great value. It's the best combination of these elements available in Ashland!

I held a surprise birthday party for my wife and had all the out-of-town guests stay at the Plaza Inn. The selection of rooms and their flexibility in allowing us to use their breakfast room for the party was greatly appreciated!

This hotel is wonderful. From the beautiful rooms, to the very friendly staff. The concierge and staff arranged a romantic birthday treat which included rose petals, candles, floral bouquet, and cake. Thanks to all involved for making this a memorable milestone birthday.
