This is a beautiful place to stay. I would highly recommend it. The mission team that our church takes stays there every year following our mission trip. We have always had a great time here.

I've been to several Central and South American hotels that looked (and felt) run-down. This hotel was a very refreshing change! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and all demonstrated an impressive air of professionalism. The rooms, common areas, and dining areas were all kept very clean, and were well maintained. The food was reliably tasty!

what i liked about this hotel was that it fit with the theme of the city and has been there for a while. the service was outstanding the staff treats you like family and wait on your every need. i can't wait to go back just so that i can stay at the same hotel.

I would stay here in a heart beat. Their retaurant is air conditioned too. They take american money and the menu was in english and spanish. Very good people. 06/22/05

When i stayed at hotel el convento over summer 2004 it was like paradise. i have never been in a hotel better than this in my whole entire life and i am not kidding. the people there treat you so nice and provide full service. the wonderful rooms make you feel like you are at home. my favorite part of all was the delicious restaurant. it was the best food i have ever tried

I didn't actually stay here, but I wish I did. This hotel is an old convent, and the whole decor is kept in that style as well.

I just went there for lunch, and then again for dinner on the same day - the food was excellent. I checked out some of the rooms, and I would definitely stay there the next time!
