Tropical paradise in an undeveloped country. Staff at the resort were extremely helpful and solicitious of our needs. The rooms were lovely. We flew in from Belize City - yes the dirt road from the airport was unpaved and bumpy, but that added to the novelty of the experience. We did take several excursions that the resort arranged - ...

We stayed at Robert's Grove in July 2004. It was our first time in Belize. Since then we have stayed in Ambergris Caye. We had a wonderful time in both locations. The food at Robert's Grove was excellent. Fishing was awesome and we enjoyed trips to the islands for beautiful snorkeling. We feel that the fishing and snorkeling from ...

Inn at Robert's Grove
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/07
Our family spent the first week of April (spring break) at the Inn and had a spectacular vacation. The kids (ages 7-10) met other kids their ages & had ready playmates for swimming, kayaking, sailing and other activities. The food was delicious at both restaurants, and accomodating for my son who is a picky eater. And the staff & guides ...

Great Location

I loved this place. The people working their are very friendly. The only drawback was the road to Placencia. It was a rough, rocky, pot hole filled, 22 mile nightmare. Although most people fly to the airstrip in Placencia and drive only 1 mile to the resort, we rented a car in Belize city and drove there.
I did hear that they plan to pave the road in the next couple of months.

Beautiful place

My Husband and I were just looking to get away. We stayed 2 nights on the Ranguana private island and 3 on the minland. I loved the private islnd. It was so remote and romantic. The food was amaing, but there is not a lot to do. You have to go there completely ready to relax and just veg out. The mainland was also beautiful and the food was ...
We arrived on New Year's eve 2006 and attended the BBQ buffet, even though we were staying at another location. I felt that we were snubbed since we were not staying at Robert's Grove. The food was okay, but the bill came to US$240 for 4ppl and only two drinks! Not including gratuity! I thought that was outrageous and it was not worth the ...
Elegant and regal, sitting on the sands of the Caribbean. There are two Olympic sized pools. The rooms are beautiful, finely appointed with native tiles, paintings, and rugs. The staff is professional and very well trained. Best of all, the chef is a wonder! The food is creative, fresh and delicious. This is a jewel- nothing you would ever expect to find in a "third world country"!
Nicest family owned luxury hotel in Belize. Staff is accomodating. Side Trips are incredible and the living is easy at Robert's Place, Just unpack and everything else is done for you!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/05
This is really a great place! Great people, great looking, comfortable, safe, great staff, great drinks, great food, great beach, bikes, kayaks, surf-sail boards, catamarans, canoes, hammocks, close to clubs and not too far from the nearest town (plenty of taxis to come at your call). Local Maya will come let you look at their wares. Close to ...

Great vacation. Very friendly staff. Generally couples were 30s and up. As 20 somethings we were fine and still had a blast!
