We have traveled quite a bit ... this is the first review I have written that wasn't positive. For the price I would expect much more. The rooms were small; staff not professional; view and atmosphere were not that great as well. We spent half the money up north in Alaska and we were quite pleased with the various hotels and B &Bs. For the money I think you can do better.

Small rooms, snooty staff and way overpriced. Basically, this place stinks. Service is the worst I've ever seen. don't pay extra for a balcony, none of them have a very good view and are VERY small.
I hate to give this place a poor review because so much of it is great. The location across from the sea life center is fantastic. The shuttle service and the guys running it were wonderful. The setting on the bay is very scenic. The rooms, if a bit small, were very clean and nice.

My husband and I booked this hotel on-line with a full-day glacier cruise and sea life center tickets. It was a clean, newer hotel, separated from the main part of Seward - which for us, was a positive thing. Quiet, right on the bay.
Breakfast was included, but was very limited in selection. Staff was very helpful. Room quite clean and quiet. ...
Enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has great views of Resurrection Bay. Comes with free shuttle service within town limits of Seward.

Beautiful place to relax

What a wonderful place to come and relax. Great value, location, very nice and comfortable rooms. Really enjoyed the view of the bay. It is right on the walking trail to the harbor. This is our 3rd time staying at the Edgewater. A Alaskan from Anchoraqe
Seward is a great Alaskan desination. This hotel is a good pick as well. We had an awesome view over the water and at mountains and price was a good deal. Alaskan Sea Life Center is nearby and there are wildlife and glacier cruises that leave from Seward as well. Quaint little town in the middle of the great outdoors.
Very clean. Had a view room that had a view. No restaurant though. Could use an internet connection. WiFi would be nice for a $200 a night room. Stayed nearby for $100 that had WiFi.
