not worth it

Cockroaches in the lobby. Poor service, mixed up reservations, Had to book my own car service after they confused the dates I called about three times. Unbelievablely bad for the reputation of Sofitel. Rooms were completely average. Not a four star experienc. The bathrooms were the best part. Do Not stay here.

Simply the Best

Our vacation started off in a very bad fashion with late airplanes and poor transfers to the hotel. The Concierge and manager went out of their way to see that everything in the hotel was nice for us. They went above the call to make sure we had a good stay.

The rooms are excellent and everyone working at this hotel is helpful. Terrific Place!!!!!!!!

Extremely disappointed

1. Space for cars to drive in/out in front of hotel = Poor.
2. Lobby - very cold and univiting. They store guests luggage out in the open in the main lobby all chained up - very poor visual.
3. I stayed in a suite. No night light in bathroom. Continuously heard bell noises from freight elevator.
4. Did not like the bed at all. Too smoushy a ...

Absolutely Loved the Sofitel

Lovely room. The bed was enough to make you miss work for a week. Warm down feather comforter and bed pad. Beautiful artwork and lighting. Very clean and sanitized bathroom. Loved the glass shower (no tacky shower curtain). Excellent service. Checking in and out was a breeze.

This was a rather basic business stay, however the atmosphere of the hotel made the mundane trip worth-while.
The room was neat and orderly, and the staff was pleasant. If the stay were not as expensive I would consider the Sofitel in all of my travels to Philadelphia.

The best hotel room I've ever had the comfort of staying in. Room was very clean, bathroom spotless, excellent service, and within walking distance of good restaurants and shopping plazas.

Very Romantic and Funky

The Sofitel in Philadelphia has a upscale modern European flair. Their service was what you expect from a Luxury hotel and there food was exeptional. The Location in great. I live just outside the city and look for excuses to stay there.

The Sofitel in Philadelphia is not flashy, but it's a classy, clean quiet place to stay. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are huge. It's not the cheapest place to stay, but it's not the most expensive. It's Sansome and 17th location is conveniently located in Center City. The staff is excellent - always friendly and they bend over backward to make you happy.

I refuse to go anywhere else!! I room was very hip and clean. I order room service real late and it was very timely and delicious. This is a very modern hip style hotel.

had the best time

From the minute we got there until we left, me and my wife had the best time. it was our 5th aniversary, and we even took our little boy who was only 6 months at the time. from the comfy robe and slippers. the bed was to die for, we wanted to stuff it in our suitcase and take it with us, but you can buy them from the hotel. the hotel is right in center city so it is easy to get to everything.
