The animals have a natural display area and living area. Great for the animals but it makes it difficult to see them at times, so be prepared for not necessarily seeing an animal and lots of walking. Had a great time wish I would have had more time to spend. Great activities and wonderful interactive things for the kids. We were able to get up and close and see animals in their natural habitat. I would definitely go back and make sure you wear your walking shoes.

It's better than Disney and Sea World Combined! Meet Spree SEmo and chinook the dolphins! A five star zoo!!!!!!!! THey Have over 2000 animals. Repusinting over 500 speices. It's a Tropical Encounter in the tropics trail! Its a mini Orlando in Apple Valley Minnesota!
I have been a member of the zoo for two years now. It's a great place to spend a day. It's great having a lot of the zoo indoors so you can still enjoy it on rainy days or in the winter. The exhibits are very natural, but you're never far from the animals.

The whole reason we decided to visit this zoo, is because they have dolphins. We missed the show, but did get to see them swimming underwater. You only get to see them on top of the water if you attend a performance. What I liked about the zoo, is that the exhibits were close enough to get a good look at the animals, and many of them were open, so ...
