We happened to be in town while the Frieda Kahlo exhibit was in town. The modern art installations were surprising and remarkable. A true value and an excellent cultural experience.

the innovative art teaches many things. the frida khalo exhibit coming oct. 26th! it's a wonderful place to spend either a couple minutes or an entire day. but it isn't merely a museum, it also houses a cinema, a lecture room (with film screening compatibilities), a theater, and 2 restaurants. There are also many fun classes and workshops offered at the walker, and events such as concerts, films, artist talks, and much more!

I was so dissapointed when I went to the Walker Art Center hoping to see the work of some talented artists. I was incredibly dissapointed to see just a bunch of garbage, abstract peices with no talent needed to create, and the ones that were depictable were all porn images. The Walker Art Center offers an ever expanding array of Artistic pieces, often moving away into contemporary. This museum is an experience which should not be missed, is a cultural hot spot and is amazingly welcoming.
