a cultural buffetThe Minneapolis Institute of Art is like a good buffet. You want to keep going back for the things you missed the first time through. And you don't realize how hungry you were until you leave.

Beauty and CultureI love art museums just in general, so this place is an easy sell for me. However, the MIA also has a great selection and is very affordable, so it's completely worth your while. you'll want to be ALONE or with adult company.
the staff were not the most receptive to kids, either.

ExhibitionsThe recent exhibition of the first totally new Bible printed in the last five hundred years which was commisioned by St. John's University at St. Cloud, Minnesota and is still being hand illuminated and worked on in Wales at a scriptorium is the most beautiful ehibit that I have seen in any of the major museums around the world.
