I loved the garden (flowers, greenery) as much as the sculpture. The "rooms" of sculpture are set apart by high hedges. A beautiful place to walk and wander. Being a weekday, we were able to park on the street near the entrance.
THE BEST THING WAS THAT IT WAS FREE. THE CHERRY ON THE SPOON WAS MISSING. IT WAS A LITTLE MESSY. OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS A SATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE.

Beautiful Scenery. Nice atomosphere, beautiful surroundings. Easy to find and free for those people on a budget. Spend the day at this place.

Pay for parking and you are in

Paying a couple dollars (I want to say it's under $2) for parking in the always open lot next to the gardens, and you have full access to the cherry on a spoon, as well as many other beautiful pieces. This is also the home to green houses containing amazing plant life mixed with art work, and the walking bridge that leads you over Lyndale/Hennepin to Loring Park. Great hour or two adventure for the tourist or art enthusiast.
This place is fantastic! So much to do there, sculpture garden, walker center, flower garden, loring park...
its some what confusing to get to though. right when you turn on henepin get in the far left turn lane. there is parking under the waker center, street parking and a city lot just down the way.

Great way to experience art.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/07
I loved that the sculptures were out in nature. My kids had a great time running from sculpture to sculpture and looking at all of the art. There are "hidden" sculptures around some of the hedges and they are nice surprises. It was very easy to get to, even as first time visitors. Now that we are moving to the area I am sure it will be a special place for us as a family.
Wow, wow, and wow! I'm no art critic, but I had a fantastic time. The spoon was certainly my favorite part, but it was all lovely. The poem on the bridge is worth reading. And you get quite a view of the entire garden from up there. I'd certainly go again!

I loved the fact that it is outside and you get to view some very interesting pieces of art and there is a great view too.
This garden was absoultly wonderful. The kids and I enjoyed it very much. Its not very often you can find a place where you can enjoy art and actually have the kids enjoy it too. They loved the glass fish, the spoon and various other sculptures. Then they enjoyed walking over the highway and then visiting the park across the street. Very relaxing afternoon where we had lots of fun and enjoyment.
The only thing I didn't like about this lovely Sculpture Garden located close to downtown was its small size. I wanted more! That being said, I enjoyed the intimacy of the setting. It seems to me that most sculpture belongs outside, and this venue makes the pieces come alive. Part of the fun is seeing other patrons, particularly children, ...
