  • This was awesome!
    By The Right One, 02/05/08
In the summer of 2005, I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Minnesota. Since I had always wanted to see the State Capitol, my friends decided to afford me the pleasure.
I was not diappointed. Never before had I seen such a spectacle. Each room or area was draped in its history. There were the many governmental and law-making chambers and the ...

  • Truly a work of art
    By stlstags, 04/10/07
Absolutely stunning! Perched upon a hill overlooking the state capitol, downtown St. Paul and the Mississippi river, one could not have asked for a more beautiful location. There are nothing but open fields in front and on either side of the structure, which make it stand out from the landscape rather than crowding it between other buildings. I was ...

  • "Spectacular for anyone of any faith"!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/01/06
Currently I understand the Cathedral has 3 days a week in which free tours are offered...I am not aware of any other Midwest churches that offer tours such as these.

The structure , its furnishings, fabulous stained glass, ornamental marble adornments, brass two-sided grilles, spectacular view, as well as a fully documented history...make this a ...

  • dusty angels
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 07/13/06
It must be very difficult for angels to ascend from the cathedral with all the dust and dirt they accummulate while earth bound in that holy place of worship.
I saw age old dirt on the floors in the pews
and along the side of the pews ...not light
    new dust...but hard-core aged dirt...Clean
the Church....what happened to the good old
    Altar Society...gentle ladies with brooms,
    scrub brushes and dusters?
    CLEAN GOD's HOUSE!

  • Step into the heaven!
    By Patszac, 05/18/06
Great Catherdrals I have ever seen!! The first time that I got into this place, the sound of music which was played by some musician, make me feel very comfortable with the sound of organs. It's very very huge catherdrals one. Beautiful stained - glass of the rooftop and many god statues will make you think that you're in the heaven right now!

  • Scale and Awe
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/23/06
One of the three great Cathedrals in the US... Easily top ten in the world. It's old-style charm and modern cityscape lend to an unforgetable visit.

Parking may be a problem during Sunday mass.
