Nokomis is a less-busy, but more beautiful lake than Calhoun for sure. You still have the lovely skyline in the distance, but the lake winds through more nature. There are two beaches on the lake, one with a real "boardwalk feel". The roads around the lake are also not as busy and the neighborhoods are nice so it feels safe but still has the "city character."
