This restaurant is "open" again with new owners, but the same Chef and the same wonderful food!!!

That will be a shame because the chef who was there has done a great job and I heard has moved on. I knew a few of the old owners wine and food suppliers and he was losing money and mismanaged the operation. He tried to get someone to help but it was too late. It is a shame how a dream can be lost in the reality. RIP

The restaraunt formerly known as Bacci's will re-open under new ownership (still Italian theme) with a new name.
The same chef will remain. :)

What a great place! It's gotten even better with the addition of a new upstairs dining room. Like other reviewers, I love the little outdoor patio area and the food is consistently excellent. Truly the best restaurant in northern Lake County. It's nice to see more great dining choices in downtown Waukegan and this is at the top of my list whether it's a night at the Genesee theater or merely an evening out with friends.

Awesome! The closest thing we have had to real Italian cuisine since we left Rome! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is superb. Call and make reservations though, because it is tiny, but worth any wait!

The staff is very attentive, and the food is truly Italian Gourmet quality...as a matter of fact, quality is the best way to describe this intimate restaurant. Call ahead for reservations as the seating is limited, especaially for larger groups!
