Very noisy location. The motel sits within a few feet of the major Pigeon Forge parkway, which results in vehicle noise day and night. Filthy swimming pool. Rooms are moldy, with a mildew spell. Air conditioning is old and does not work. The staff and owner manager are very rude people. There is no high speed internet service, which makes ...

nice, quiet place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/06
Good location at the northern, quiet end of the incredibly congested Sevierville-Pigeon Forge strip (not for the impatient driver). Very friendly, helpful staff. In-room coffee is foul, made worse by very thin foam cups. Breakfast room (by the pool)is a bit claustrophobic. Better coffee, by the way, plus the usual fare. I would certainly return to this hotel (with my own coffee and mug).

Great place to meet friends
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/06
We chose the Greenbrier, sight unseen, approximately 5 years ago as a place to meet up with our friends. We try to get back there at least twice a year now and not only enjoy each others company but the great service we receive from the staff, who we now look forward to seeing each trip. The Greenbrier Inn is definately our choice.

This place is falling apart and is in need of a major renovation or better yet it should be torn down. Very rude staff. Rooms were filthy.

just ok
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/06
We made a last minute trip to Piegon Forge and found this place on the internet. I would rate it as ok for the price. Place is in need of restoration. The rooms were clean with a faint musty odor. Continnental breakfast is great if you like cold cereal and doughnuts. Staff was friendly. A good place to stay if you are on a budget.

A very pleasant place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/05
We have stayed at the Greenbriar twice and will stay again. The rooms were clean, the tv reception was very good, there was a wide selection of breakfast food, the location is just right. We met the owner in the elevator one day and he was most cordial. I have and will again recommend this motel to others.

A Bad Place To Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/05
This motel is set up for large tour bus groups only. This is not a family friendly place. Large tour bus groups linger in the breakfast room, making it impossible for families or anyone else to eat breakfast. Housekeeping is very rude and starts banging on all guest rooms at 7 a.m. They advertise high-speed internet, but it is only on the third ...

It was refreshing to stay somewhere that looked just as nice on the inside as it did on the outside. The breakfast room was nice and charming. The hostess was extremely friendly. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Maybe the fact that it is a family owned motel makes the difference. We have stayed at larger corporated owned hotels that ...
We stayed at the Greenbrier for two nights during peak summer time. Thankfully, we had reservations, because they had no vacancies...and I can see why. The rooms were very spacious and extremely clean. The staff was very friendly; the maid was willing to come back later to do the cleaning when she saw I was still in the room, and the lady in ...
