My family and I just went to this Cole Park and I found it to be fairly nice. Beware the restrooms! Let the kids enjoy the play area, and do some fishing for goodness sakes. Oh, bring a flashlight though. The pier lights don't work.

When you take a look around, there's lots of stuff for kids to play on and climb on. The value is excellent, because it's free. However, you have to take all of the things that come with "free".

Like the thugs walking their pit bulls, the graffiti on the benches and playground, the smell of BBQ in the air from the furnished BBQ ...

We had a birthday party at Cole Park last year, it wasn't run down or torn. We recently went summer 2008 and it was not run down.....It's best you go and see for yourself and form your own opinion. Have fun! Corpus has a lot of fun things to do!!!

Cole Park is not a place where I would ever take my children. The children's play area has been recently vandalized, not to mention people actually relieving themselves on the childrens play area, (ie, swings/slides). The ant's are unbearable so there is no sitting in what very little grass they have.

Cole Park is a great place to stop by and rest during a road trip or stop and play with the kids.

Also great for a family picnic! It might be a bit windy, but worth the view. Make sure to take a camera!
