Do not go to Felger's Tube rental on the Comal River. They have terrible service, the owner gets drunk and starts yelling at paying customers. They run out of tubes and when they have them they go flat during the float. If you want good service and good tubes go next door.
i stayed @ camp huaco & will never go again! 1st day a very nice teenager @ the gate charged me $10 after asking me if i would be staying the night. i went to walmart & unpon return was charged an additional $18 bc the girl had only charged me for a day pass & it was past their day pass hour (i was gone 30 mins).

ROCKIN R SUCKS!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/08
WANTING TO FLOAT THE RIVER? STAY AWAY FROM ROCKIN R, UNLESS YOU LIKE BENDING OVER AND TAKING IT IN THE REAR. THE PRICES WERE RIDICULOUS! I COULD OF OVERLOOKED THAT HAD THERE BEEN DECENT CUSTOMER SEVICE, BUT EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT WORKED THERE WAS RUDE. THE BUS DRIVER WAS BARLEY 18 AND ON A MAJOR POWER TRIP, THREATENING TO MAKE US WALK BACK. ...

Double Rockin R
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/08
They totally twisted the contract. Not worth the expense, we had to pay extra for every person that was in our group that didn't arrive at the same exact time as we did. We has already paid for 12 people but only 4 people got in without extra expenses. staff there that was horribly rude to all the customers. Definetly not ever going back... No ...

Great People Great Float
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/08
We enjoyed our trip on the Comal River this weekend and can't wait to go back! We were in the water quickly and the private exit for Rockin R toobers is the only way to go. I felt sorry for the people waiting on the side of the street in the monstrous crowds. Thinking about renting the party deck on the river for our next reunion.
Wouldn't let us take the float, saying it was an 8 hour trip and it was too late at 2pm. Continued harassment about vehicles at our site, kept coming back for more money increasing the cost per vehicle each time, first it was 10, then 18, then 28, finally 35 which is the cost of a camp site itself. No running water on our site, other people had their tents on our site. Very unprofessional staff. Will Never go there again.

Expensive to camp
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/08
$45 a nite for RV camping is a rip-off. After going to Rockin R for 10yrs+, my group of 20+ people and I will no more go to the river at Rockin R or any affiliate as of Feb '08. It's cheaper to go to Mexico and scuba dive. And on that note I will not be participating in the river clean up every year which us volunteers use our own gear and donate out time to clean the river bed of trash.
We camped the entire week in the RV section of the Huaco Springs campground, (with 2 teenagers, a small child, and my elderly parents). The campground was absolutely beautiful, and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. It was a little quieter during the week, and it can get hopping on the weekend with all of the tents coming in, ...

Felgers Tubes (the way to go)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/07
Roking R was way to expensive and rude. We waited on a shuttle to the river for three hours and the float was only and hour and a half. Then we waited another hour for a shuttle back. The bus driver was very perverted and rude to my girlfriend. The next day we drove to another tube rental place called FELGERS. This place was GREAT! They had ...

i love the river and the people who work there are so nice and helpful and the food there is delicious!!! It is a great place to take your friends and family to go out and relax and have a good time together. It's fun, and safe, and a great place to explore the outdoors.
