Upon checking in-we were told by the assistant manager that our prepaid room was not available, because New York State Law requires the hotel to accommodate guests who wish to stay on at the expense of newly arrived guests- a law I personally doubt exists. We were then given the penthouse suite room 1001. While it may a nice room-it is located ...
We stayed June 5-9, 2007. The hotel has a perfect location. You are 1 block away from Grand Central station and the subways. We stayed in the junior suite. It was very nice. The bathroom was large with a big tub and there's a tv in there that you can watch while you take a bath. The huge bed is very comfortable and the air conditioning ...
The rooms were quiet and comfy, bathroom was clean and wonderfully appointed (although water pressure was a bit low on the 7th floor). We enjoyed the bed, and the lighting in the room was well-done..reading lights, room lights, and so on...made it feel more like home than most hotels I've been in.
We had a great time at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central. Not one complaint. The service was great. The people were friendly and helpful. We'll be staying there again the next time we stay in NYC.

Very convenient. Room was decent size, clean and comfortable. I liked the fact that it was very quiet at night!
Will stay there whenever I need to stay in the city.

Great location, but don't expect luxury accomodations
The location of this hotel is its strong suit, smack in the middle of NYC (midtown East). The hotel is also very quiet and clean too. It's right behind Grand Central Station and you can easily use the Chrysler building as your guide when navigating throughout the city. The side street where the hotel is located is not busy or rushed so ...
I love this hotel! I have stayed here several times and the service, the atmosphere, the cleanliness is superb. The beds are rich and comfortable while the bathrooms are large, clean and well equipped. Not to mention the location. Close to dining, close to Grand Central, close to shopping! This by far is my favorite hotel in Manhattan!
We loved our stay at the Fitzpatrick. The staff was very attentive and anticipated our every need. The suite was immaculate and the most comfortable hotel we have ever stayed in. We have highly recommended this hote to all our friends and are counting the days til our next trip to New York.

This is a verfy fine small Hotel. While typically expensive for a midtown location, it is very comfortable and the servce and food were excellent.

Luck of the Irish brought to midtown Manhattan

I took the red eye in from San Francisco and arrived in New York at 6am. I finally made my way to the hotel loaded down with luggage at 8am and the gracious staff at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central allowed me to check in early. I don't think I've ever been so happy to step into a hotel room!! The rooms are on a smaller side -- typical for ...
